Alan Raymond – Sales & Marketing Director

Professional:

Alan has 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries. He began his career with Dista Pharmaceuticals as a Medical Representative in Greater Manchester, UK. Alan subsequently relocated to Australia and then progressed through marketing management roles with Merck Inc and Reckitt & Colman. Alan returned to the UK in 1990 and was subsequently appointed as Global Marketing Director for the Reckitt & Colman Pharmaceutical Division. In 1996 Alan developed his career further in the pharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing industry via senior European VP roles at RP Scherer (UK) and then Banner Pharmacaps (The Netherlands). Since 2003 Alan has developed a portfolio of strategic consulting, executive coaching and Non-Executive roles.

Qualifications:

  • PhD (Zoology) from the University of St.Andrews.
  • Diploma in Marketing from the Australian Institute of Management.

At Aesica:

  • Alan was appointed to the position of Sales & Marketing Director in December 2010.
  • He leads and directs a team of Regional Business Development Managers across North America, Europe and Asia in addition to the corporate marketing team.
  • Alan is accountable for driving the growth of new business with existing and new customers worldwide.
