John McConnell – HR Director

Professional:

John joined Aesica in November 2006 as HR Director from Aker Kvaerner where he was HR Director of the European Engineering Services business. He has eight years experience in the Chemical Industry working for Elementis plc as the Global HR Director of the Chromium Division and prior to that he was head of HR for BASF in the UK. John has also held Senior HR positions in the Pharmaceutical and Utility sectors.

Qualifications:

  • BA (Hons) – University of Leeds Business Administration and Sociology
  • Post Graduate Diploma in Personnel Management
  • Fellow of the Charted Institute of Personnel and Development

At Aesica:

  • As part of the Aesica Executive team, John is responsible for the delivery of the company strategy.
  • John was responsible for the creation of the Aesica company values to support the strategy and create a CMO culture.
  • He supports the organisation’s rapid growth through HR DD, consultation and communication.
  • John developed and led the integration process for Aesica’s acquisition of sites in Germany and Italy.
  • John is also responsible for leading the introduction of Aesica’s Pharmaceutical Support Services Business Unit.
