In the Community Aesica's dynamic chemistry approach extends beyond our customers to the communities around our sites and the broader pharmaceutical industry.  We recognise that the way in which we conduct our operations has related environmental, social and economic impact. Reviewing and improving our efforts to reduce our impact on the environment and become actively involved in the community has always been an important part of our business. Community At Aesica, we regularly seek to collaborate and build relationships with local schools, non-profit agencies and other organisations throughout our communities. At each of our facilities we support local schools and sports initiatives, and we also support our people in a wide range of charity activities. Environment We are committed to the highest standards of environmental management and performance. We have been recognised with industry awards for our environmental management including our renewable energy plans and our programmes to increase biodiversity at our Cramlington site. Over the past few years Aesica has worked with CONE (Cramlington Organisation for Nature and the Environment) to assist with ecological evaluation of the site and identifying opportunities for improvement.  This has included the building of a swallow barn and planting of Northumberland native species of flora and fauna.  Aesica also works in partnership with CONE to organise and support practical environmental education visits by local schoolchildren from Primary Schools.
