Aesica, a leading supplier of active pharmaceutical ingredients and formulated products to the global pharmaceutical industry, today announces the appointment of Keith Payne as Sales and Marketing Director.
Formerly Sales & Marketing Director, responsible for Formulated Products, Keith joined Aesica in October 2007. He has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry and a proven track record in growing sales. Keith was previously at NextPharma where he was Senior Vice President, Product Development Services and was responsible for restructuring and increasing the sales of the company's product development services division. Prior to joining NextPharma, Keith was Commercial Director (Asia and ROW) for Clariant Life Science Molecules (formerly Archimica Fine Chemicals). Keith graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Leicester University. Keith will report directly to Dr Robert Hardy, Aesica's CEO.
In his new role, Keith will be responsible for leading the strong commercial team and for further growing the Company's business across custom synthesis, API manufacturing and formulated products. He will also work closely with the recently appointed Vice President, Sales and Business Development, North America, Michael Staff, to further develop Aesica's service in what is the Company's largest market.
Alan Raymond, Aesica's Commercial Director, is leaving the Company to return to his consultancy business. Alan worked with Aesica as a consultant from May 2007 and joined as Commercial Director in October 2007. While at Aescia, Alan was responsible for the expansion of the commercial team and also oversaw the recent re-branding of the firm.
