Award received for outstanding success through training and development
Aesica announced today that the Continuous Improvement initiative at its Queenborough site in Kent has been recognised with a prestigious South East Region Training Award at the National Training Awards. The National Training Awards represent the highest accolade in the UK for businesses who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in training and learning in their region. The Award was presented at a ceremony held at the Copthorne Effingham Park.
The Continuous Improvement initiative has been worked on at Queenborough for the past four years, looking at specific projects which when implemented, resulted in an elimination of waste, creating savings of over £3 million. The Award was received by Gail Traynor, Pharmaceutical Development Manager and Catherine Young, Training Specialist at Aesica.
John McConnell Human Resources Director of Aesica, said: "Receiving a Regional Training Award recognises the excellent efforts the staff at Queenborough have made to provide the highest standards in training and learning for all employees. While much of the Continuous Improvement project pre-dates our acquisition of the site we are nonetheless very proud of the team's achievement and would like to congratulate all those involved. We remain committed to the highest levels of staff training and development for the future."
