Sir Digby Jones visits Aesica
On Wednesday, 24th May 2006, Aesica Pharmaceuticals was pleased to welcome to it's site in Cramlington, Sir Digby Jones, retiring Director General of the CBI, together with Sarah Green, Regional Director of the CBI North East and Kay McCulloch.
The visitors were welcomed to the site and given a presentation on the company and its philosophies before being taken on a site tour of its facilities. Sir Digby was visiting the region as part of his final tour of the country before he retires from the post later in the year.
Robert Hardy, Managing Director, said "Sir Digby was particularly impressed by Aesica's export sales accounting for over 95% of total turnover.
"Sir Digby shared Aesica's concerns with the weak dollar and energy prices. Regarding energy prices, he assured us that the CBI were doing everything possible with the Government to address this".
