Aesica Expands Commercial Team With Three Senior Appointments
New Commercial Director, Sales & Marketing Director and Business Development Manager Join Leading Pharmaceutical Manufacturer
Aesica today announces it has significantly expanded its commercial team with three senior appointments.
Alan Raymond has joined the Company as Commercial Director reporting to the CEO. Alan's appointment follows a period working with Aesica in an interim role. Alan has an exceptional track record in the pharmaceutical industry having previously worked in senior global and European roles for Reckitt & Colman Pharmaceuticals, R.P. Scherer and Banner Pharmacaps. Alan has 27 years of international marketing and general management experience within the pharmaceutical industry and has worked in the Netherlands and Australia in addition to the UK. He has also held a number of non-Executive positions with start up drug development and diagnostic companies.
Alan has a PhD in Zoology from St. Andrews University. Keith Payne has joined Aesica as Sales & Marketing Director, Formulated Products. Keith joins from NextPharma where he was Senior Vice President, Product Development Services and was responsible for restructuring and growing the sales of the company's product development services division. Prior to joining NextPharma, Keith was Commercial Director (Asia and ROW) for Clariant Life Science Molecules (formerly Archimica Fine Chemicals). Keith graduated with a degree in Chemistry from Leicester University.
Lal Khan is joining Aesica as Business Development Manager. Lal was formerly Business Manager UK & Ireland for DSM Pharma Chemicals and has also held sales and technical positions with BASF, Lambson Group, Sun Chemicals and Zeneca. He has a PhD in organic chemistry from Manchester University.
The newly expanded Commercial team has an excellent understanding of the global pharmaceutical industry's needs to successfully manage the life-cycle of drug molecules and to ensure Aesica is competitively placed to satisfy customers' expectations.
